The weaver K series was originally designed to be and did become the most popular centerfire big game scopes ever. Over time people realized that they really are kind of the bomb for rimfires too, except that they were tuned for shooting at 100 yards and over. Shooting distances under 100 yards, as is the case with most rimfire applications cannot be accomplished accurately due to focus and parallax issues at close range.
