J.C. Higgins Model 50 with J.C. Higgins Senior Rifleman 2.5x Scope

Attached are photos of the original add from Sears showing the model 50 in 270 caliber with the 2-1/2 power senior rifleman scope as offered in the Sears catalog.
This is a project my son and I worked on together for his first high power rifle.

The scope is crystal clear! Be rest assured as we continue to build our collection all of our scope will be sent to you.
My children and I have developed a passion for the post WWII era hunting rifles and scopes offered by the great American companies that contributed to these heirloom rifles from a bygone era.

This JC Higgins model is built with a FN Mauser long action and a chrome lined H&R barrel. The accuracy of this “off the rack” model rifle is one of the best kept secrets and overlooked as many consumers began to shift their focus to the magnum rifles flooding the market in the late 1950’s.
