Sporterized Springfield 1903 with a Restored Weaver K10
This sporterized Springfield 1903 was one of my great grandfather’s “Charles Nelson of Yakima, Washington” rifles that was passed down to my father. After getting the rifle from my father, I immediately noticed the rifle was in a state that did sit well with me. It had a newer cheap end scope that looked horrible on the classic rifle, the rubber buttstock was hard as a rock from age and the stock showed some use as well. I looked up vintage scopes online and discovered the company, Vintage Gun Scopes out of Corvallis, MT. I immediately loved the Weaver K-10 with case hardened accents. After about a year and four different shops, it is now complete. I look forward to seeing what this thing can do at the range.
Thanks VGS!
